Yankee Magazine was founded in 1935 and is based in Dublin, New Hampshire, United States.

The very first issue of this magazine was appeared and released in September 1935. It is a bimonthly magazine which is devoted to New England travel, home, food, and features. With a paid circulation of 317,000 and a total of readership of nearly 2 million and it is published by Yankee Publishing Incorporated. It is one of the few remaining family owned and independent magazine publishers in the United States. YPI also owns the oldest continuously produced periodical in the US, the Old Farmers Almanac. And in 2013, YPI acquired McLean Communications,  the publisher of New Hampshire and the New Hampshire Business Review.

Truly, the magazine has been evolving throughout the years and the business is getting bigger and bigger. Today Yankee Magazine is going to another level in terms of business in entertainment.

Yankee magazine and Boston's public television station are teaming up to launch a new travel and lifestyle exploring New England.

The show "Weekends with Yankee" is said to premier nationwide on public television stations on April 2017.

The magazine and WGBH say that filming will be getting underway later this month on 13 weekly half hour episodes.

Producers said that the documentary series will take reviewers on an "insider's exploration" from cities to far-flung county side across the six-state region which is also a top destination for tourists all over the world. Reports say that the said show will be focusing on all the unique attractions and will reveal the "hidden" New England which only the locals know about.

Weekends with Yankee will be tackling everything about the unique quality of New England, its people, food, places and events that is happening all over the place and we are sure that viewers will be much more excited to see all this that will be watched on air.

Richard Wiese, an Emmy award TV travel host will serve as a guide on the said show.
