Tiger Woods: Out of Shaft & Now An Entrepreneur

After a 14-month long break to recover from a back injury, Tiger Woods was planning to make an anticipated return to competitive golf this month.

Today he is announcing the launch of TGR, a new company that will house a new portfolio of Woods-related businesses. Tiger Woods will serve as the chairman an plans to be closely involve in a day today decision making. He is also unveiling his new logo which is made up of three triangles that looks like a tiger stripes and also resemble as a W.

Woods have been very closely associated with Nike for the past 20 years. But last August, Nike announced that they will no longer make golf equipment which includes the clubs Woods had used during his entire career.

Tiger Woods is more than a golfer. Over the past 20 years, 14 time major winner has expanded his brand into charity work , golf course design and restaurant businesses. He truly is an entrepreneur ever since.

Some of Woods biggest moments are in November 1996-Tiger Woods Foundation, June 1998-Tiger Jam, December 1999-Hero World Challenge, November 2006-Tiger Woods Design, July 2007-AT&T National, October 2011-Tiger Woods Invitational, December 2011-El Cardonal Diamante, December 2014-Trump World Golf Club Dubai, April 2015-Pacific Links National Golf Club in Beijing, August 2015-The Woods Jupiter, April 2016-Bluejack National, October 2016-TGR.

Now that TGR has launched, the team is already considering where to go next. One candidate for growth is The Woods, the restaurant that Woods opened last August near home in Jupiter Florida. "The concept is really in demand in several cities" Woods says. There is also a potential to grow Wood's 's 10 year golf club course design company, which is now called TGR Design. Wood also said that the are evaluating which one would make sense.

TGR will soon be anouncing its very first project.
