After two years of development, Minetta Brook Inc. is finally ready to go into revenue mode. The company recently announced the success of its seed funding round. The round, which netted $2 million, was led by TiE Angel Group Seattle (TAGS) and Naya Ventures. In February, the convertible note round was concluded with Keiretsu Forum Northwest in the lead.

Minetta Brook is a startup based in Seattle focusing on Big Data intelligence. Their main focus is on the creation of software that paves the way for the "discovery of hyper-relevant information from streaming content." With this investment, the company is now readying itself to get out of beta mode

CEO and co-founder Deepak Bharadwaj reveals in a press release that the company's "first application targets the financial sector and will revolutionize how news, market and reference data are synthesized to provide hyper-relevant realtime information to traders and analysts." The startup was founded in 2011 by Bharadwaj and Prabhu Venkatesh, a Fintech veteran.
