Fans of "The Flash" won't be seeing Iris in the CW's newest spinoff "Legends of Tomorrow" when it premieres next year. According to reports, Iris is not going to be in the early part of the crossover but actress Candice Patton hinted that her character could appear later on.

A lot of characters are going to be in the upcoming "Flarrow" spinoff but Iris West will not have a huge part in it despite the importance of her character on "The Flash" and her appearance in the first half of its two-night crossover in December 2014. Candice Patton confirmed it herself during her interview with MTV but she also gave the fans some glimmer of hope that she might appear in it eventually.

"Iris is not involved at all in the crossovers that we have explored thus far. That doesn't mean we'll never see that. We know that crossovers have been extremely popular in our universe on the CW, so I'm sure we'll have more," the actress said.

Since a pivotal character like Patton's is not included in the show, speculations arose that some of the characters on "Arrow" won't be appearing or getting major parts in "Legends of Tomorrow" as well, according to Cinemablend.

Nevertheless, the crossover seems to be as exciting as everyone expects it to be with the new reports swirling online mentioning the inclusion of Connor Hawke in the show.

In the comics, Connor Hawke is the illegitimate sine of Oliver Queen and Sandra Moonday Hawke. He eventually became the Green Arrow and part of the Justice League after his father was killed

CW was reportedly looking for a African-American or biracial male to play the role of Connor, who will not be the son of Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen in the show, Science Fiction reported.

Things become more interesting for Legends because of Oliver and Connor's non-relation to each other. io9 noted that Connor on TV-verse could be the Arrow of another part of multiverse that the team might visit through time traveling, as it would play a major part in the show.

Though some characters, like Iris West, might not appear in CW's newest spinoff, there will be tons of new ones to watch out for including Connor Hawke.

"Legends of Tomorrow" is expected to premiere early in 2016.
