Keanu Reeves is already gearing up for the much-anticipated sequel of his 2014 hit movie "John Wick." Reeves is reportedly learning new ways to improve his character's gun-fu technique as new chief antagonist is set to appear in the second instalment to be portrayed by ward-winning singer Common.

In his recent interview with Collider, Reeves hints on some of the elements of the first movie that will remain in "John Wick 2". The actor said that director Chad Stahelski and writer Derek Kolstad took notice of the film's reception and how the people enjoyed it.

Though Keanu Reeves did not spill any details about the second film, it seems that the fans will know more of John's normal life this time.

"I think we have a really good premise, and it's an organic premise. It's basically - to me there's John Wick and then there's John. You know, John is the married guy whose wife just died, and that five years of his life. Then there's John Wick, who's the mythical assassin."

However, delving into the background story of John doesn't mean less action as Reeves is currently undergoing rigorous training to improve his gun-fu, which is a combination of jiu-jitsu and judo with weapons.

"...I've been learning some other tools and different styles of that, and trying to develop some more techniques in terms of judo and jiu-jitsu and bring those elements into the work," the actor said.

Recent updates for the movie includes John Wick's new adversary to be played by singer and 2015 Oscar winner for Best Original Song, Common. The actor-musician is set to play the head of security for a female crime lord as per IGN's report.

Ian McShane is also set to appear in the film to reprise his role as Winston, the stern owner of the Continental Hotel that houses hitmen, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Keanu Reeves is set to show off his new fighting techniques in "John Wick 2," which will also see Common as the new antagonist and the reappearance of Ian McShane as the Continental Hotel owner.

"John Wick 2" is slated to drop on 2017.
